African American Women are Important Consumers

Despite setbacks suffered during the Great Recession the economic clout of African American consumers has continued to energize the United States consumer market. America’s black buying power increased from $957 billion in 2010 to more than $1.2 trillion in 2015. African American women are the dominate force driving the overall expansion of black buying power in America. Due to upward trends in number of highly educated African-American women in the workforce black buying power will continue to grow.
